Fire in Parkhead: five crews battling house blaze on Whitby Street

Fire crews have raced to Glasgow's east end where a blaze has broken out in a house in Parkhead.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene on Whitby Street this lunchtime.

An SFRS spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live: "We can confirm we are in attendance at Whitby Street in Glasgow.

"We have five appliances in attendance.

"The call came through around 12.30pm".

There are no updates on any casualties at this stage.
