Fire horror on Coronation Street as Underworld goes up in flames

She's been away since November because of her troubled behaviour, and young Hope Stape finds herself in danger on next week's Coronation Street .

Eight-year-old Hope, played by Isabella Flanagan, ends up trapped by a fire inside the Underworld factory building after slipping away unnoticed from Fiz and Tyrone.

As neighbours Ali and Maria set off for a charity ball, they hear her cries for help coming from the factory and are horrified to see her surrounded by burning boxes.

Doctor Ali races to her rescue and emerges from the building carrying Hope.

And when she lies that she saw two lads running away from the factory, it becomes clear that Fiz and Tyrone's troubles with her are far from over even after she was sent to a specialist school in Birmingham to sort out her bad behaviour.

Before she left to make a new start, she put Evelyn Plummer's dog Cerberus on a tram to Rochdale and bit Tyrone's daughter Ruby.

Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, is on maternity leave after giving birth to a baby girl called Hilda last month.

Away from the cobbles Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, was on maternity leave as she welcomed daughter Hilda.

Announcing the happy news on Twitter she wrote: "Our newest addition arrived yesterday. Mummy and Daddy very happy. Big brother very proud of his little sister Hilda. We’re all in love."

Hope is Fiz’s daughter with killer John Stape.

Fiz thought Ruby, her partner's daughter with his ex Kirsty Soames, had been displaying bad behaviour picked up from her twisted and abusive mum.

But the couple realised that Hope was the naughty one.

Fiz and her daughter have a dramatic return storyline with Hope not having a place at Bessie Street school after Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, forgot to apply for a place for her.
