Fire engines to go under the hammer at Northern Ireland auction

If your guilty pleasure is watching Fireman Sam or London’s Burning then your wildest dreams could be about to come true.

Going under the hammer at a Northern Ireland auction next week are four mint condition fire engines.

One, a Volvo FM 340, has just 30,000 miles on the clock and is the perfect buy for anyone, with a few quid to spare and a love of fire engines.

All three are described as being in “great condition” with different registration years between 2008 and 2009. They will be going under the hammer, with no reserve, on Tuesday, June 11.

The vehicles are part of a Vans, HGVs, Trailers, Plant & Machinery Auction at 1pm.

Wilson’s say the vehicles are from the NI Fire & Rescue Service, for which they are the ‘disposal agent’.

It is expected that other international fire authorities or possibly collectors could put in a bid.
