Fire engine in three-vehicle crash near O2 Academy in Glasgow

A fire engine has been involved in a three-vehicle crash near the O2 Academy in Glasgow this morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident close to the music venue on Eglinton Street at around 7.45am.

A van, a car and a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service vehicle were involved in the smash.

The road close to the O2 was shut for a short period this morning.

No one was injured in the incident.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We were called to a road crash at around 7.45am this morning involving three vehicles, a van, a car and a fire engine.

"The road was closed for a short period, but is now open again."
