Three passenger boats were destroyed by fire on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok on Sunday evening.
Police said the fire started at 6:43 pm on an empty passenger boat moored at Wat Ratchasingkhon pier, near Asiatique The Riverfront, a popular tourist spot. Within four minutes, the flames spread to two nearby vessels.
According to reports, the ropes securing the boats broke, causing them to drift into the middle of the river while the fire was burning.
Firefighters brought the fire under control by 7.02pm and fully extinguished it at 7.25pm.
No casualties were reported. Police were investigating the cause of the fire.
