INVESTIGATIONS are under way into the cause of a fire which tore through an abandoned home in Shortland.
Just after 9am Sunday emergency services were called to a property on Marsden Street. The house was well alight when NSW Fire and Rescue crews arrived at the scene and it was quickly established that the property was vacant.
The house was totally destroyed by the fire. The cause and circumstances leading up to the blaze are now under investigation.
No one was injured during the incident.
