Fire cuts Qld's Bruce Hwy near Gladstone

A bushfire burning near Gladstone in central Queensland has severed the Bruce Highway in both directions.

Firefighters are battling the blaze near Iveragh, which broke out earlier on Sunday.

It poses no threat to properties at this time, the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services says.
