Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a building on an industrial estate in Poynton this morning.
The fire broke out at a building at Rupert Park on London Road South at around 6.20am.
Six fire engines are currently at the scene while crews tackle the blaze.
Locals residents have been reporting a strong smell of smoke in the area on social media.
In a post on Facebook, Poynton Fire Service said: "06:21 07/07/2021 Crews were mobilised to a building fire at Rupert Park, London Road South, Poynton.
"On arrival an assessment was made & the number of appliances was increased to 6.
"Crews wearing breathing apparatus are tackling the fire."
