Fire crews rush to scene of dramatic late night blaze in Coolock

Fire crews were called to tackle a blaze at a clothing recycling centre in north-east Dublin on Wednesday night (August 18).

Teams from Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene of the blaze in Coolock.

Dramatic pictures posted to Twitter showed the recycling bank well alight, with firefighters dousing the flames with jets.

The fire brigade said: "Due to their robust construction these clothing banks can be challenging to extinguish."

People are reminded to dial 999 or 112 in an emergency.
