Fire crews rush to blaze at popular Falkirk chip shop

Fire crews have rushed to a Falkirk chip shop after it burst into flames.

Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue were called to Lemetti’s on Main Street, Camelon at around 6.45pm on Friday evening.

Officers at the scene have closed the A803 westbound between Union Road and Stirling Road while two fire crews continue to tackle the blaze.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We are currently supporting Scottish Fire and Rescue at a building fire on Main Street, Camelon .

“A803 currently closed west bound between Union Road and Stirling Road.”

It is understood that no one has been injured in the incident.
