Fire crews rush to Anderston as car blaze sends smoke billowing from flat block

Firefighters are in attendance after smoke was spotted coming from a building in Anderston.

A stretch of Hydepark Street has been cordoned off after a car reportedly caught on fire in the ground level car park this evening.

Four appliances have been sent to the scene.

A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "We received a report of a fire in the Anderston area at 5:23pm. Four appliances have been sent there. We have no further details at this time."
