Fire crews release seven people from a lift in the city centre

Fire crews had to rescue people stuck in a lift.

The incident happened at 4.47pm on Saturday, February 29.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service had to use specialist equipment to release them.

One crew from London Road attended the incident in Trinity Square in the city centre.

They said seven people stuck in the lift.

A spokesman for the fire service said: "London Road (fire crews) have attended persons stuck in lift on Trinity Square in Nottingham .

"This was seven persons stuck in a lift. Holmatro and small gear was used to release them."
