Fire crews have raced to a "well-developed" blaze at a Hamilton home.
The alarm was raised after "several calls" from members of the public shortly before 6pm earlier tonight, July 3.
One fire engine raced to the scene on Wellcroft Terrace amid reports of a fire in a shed.
However crews arrived to discover a "well-developed" inferno at a house on the street.
A further three fire crews were called to get the flames under control this evening.
Fire crews remain at the scene this evening where locals report the road has been "blocked off" by police.
It's understood no one was injured in the fire.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson: "We received reports of a shed on fire at 17:50pm on Wellcroft Terrace, Hamilton.
"On arrival, this was upgraded to a well-developed house fire with smoke coming from the loft area.
"Four fire appliances were dispatched to the scene.
"No casualties have been reported at this time with all persons accounted for."
