Fire fighters have been on the scene since 4.30am on Sunday morning battling the huge blaze.

Efforts to extinguish the fire are currently ongoing as eight appliances are at the scene.

The inferno is raging within a second floor flat in the building on Bailie Terrace.

In a photograph from the scene, large flames can be seen billowing high above the building.

"Crews are engaged in fighting the fire with breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one high-reach appliance.

"The incident is currently ongoing."

There are currently no reported injuries from the blaze.
