Fire crews race to huge blaze in Bo'ness

A major fire has broken out at a garage in Bo'ness.

Fire crews rushed to the scene of the blaze at a commercial property on Rattray Street around 4.30pm on Tuesday June 11.

Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed that four engines and one height appliance are currently in attendance.

It is currently unknown if anyone has been injured.

Dramatic footage from the scene posted on Facebook shows thick plumes of black smoke billowing into the air above the building.

Flames could be seen coming from the roof of the burning garage (Gary Mcintyre)

Large flames can also be seen emerging from the roof.

One man was given first aid for possible smoke inhalation.

Police said the fire was causing "large clouds of heavy smoke" and advised people to keep doors and windows closed.

They also urged people to avoid the area.

It's the second large fire to rock the town in the last week.

Crews battled to control a huge fireball at Bo'ness United's football stadium on June 4.

Two teenage boys were charged in connection with incident.
