Fire crews race to blaze near Barlinnie Prison

Emergency services have raced to a fire near to Barlinnie Prison .

Firefighters were called to Cumbernauld Road, Riddrie after reports of black smoke filling the sky at around 11am this morning.

Two appliances are on scene at the moment.

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received reports of smoke filling the sky around Cumbernauld Road, Riddrie earlier this morning.

"We have two appliances on scene and are currently establishing details."
