Fire crews scrambled to Edinburgh flats this afternoon after smoke was seen billowing from a building.
Three fire engines were called to Leith Walk amid reports of a blaze after "thick smoke" was seen pouring out of the top of tenements.
An eye witness told Edinburgh Live frantic tram workers were yelling for residents to evacuate their homes after spotting the blaze.
"All the tram workers were shouting fire and yelling at the residents in the tenements", he said.

"As soon as the fire engines arrived the smoke seemed to stop", he added.
Many residents spilled out onto the street as fire crews appeared on the scene.
It's understood no one was injured as a result of the fire.
Traffic was said to be backed up on Leith Walk, with only one lane open into the city centre.
The City of Edinburgh Council 's travel update service has since announced that Leith Walk has reopened.
A local said: "Traffic is backed up all the way down Leith Walk. Tram workers are trying to help control it, but it's just absolute bedlam."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 12.31pm on Monday, February 1 to reports of a fire within a block of flats in Edinburgh.
"Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the city's Elm Row, where firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
"Crews currently remain on the scene working to make the area safe.
"There are no reported casualties."
