A person was cut free from the wreckage of a crash on a busy Scots motorway.
Firefighters raced to the scene on the M90 near Kinross and used cutting gear to release one casualty who was then passed into the care of paramedics.
Details on the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
Motorists reported seeing a car which had come off the dual carriageway before ending up in a ditch at the side of the road.
A fire service spokesperson said: “We received a call from police at 7.39pm and three appliances were sent. Just one vehicle (was involved). Two sets of cutting gear were in use.
“There was one casualty who was passed to paramedics.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a car that had crashed down an embankment on the M90 northbound, just south of Kinross services, around 7.30pm on Saturday, 23 October.
"Emergency services attended and one lane was temporarily closed to allow safe access to the scene. The male driver and female passenger were removed from the car and there aren't believed to have been any life threatening injuries."
