Fire crews called to second fire at former Bramcote school site

Crews from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue service were at the scene of a small fire in a disused building in Derby Road, Bramcote.

Firefighters were called to the former Bramcote College site for the second time in a matte of days on Friday evening (September 18".

The latest incident was a small fire, with officers using using beaters and flexipack to distinguish the flames.

It comes after a large fire broke out in the same building Thursday, September 16, where firefighters from across the East Midlands attended.

As many as 60 firefighters attended the first incident and the A52 was closed in both directions.

Both Bramcote Hills Primary School and Bramcote College closed on the day of the first incident.

One fire engine attended the scene of the latest incident.

Nottinghamshire Police were also seen at the scene.

The fire service left the site at 8:23pm.
