Fire crews called to fourth floor flat blaze in Halton

Fire services have been on the scene in Halton, Leeds, after a fire broke out in a top floor flat.

A fire was reported in a fourth floor flat in the four-storey building in Levens Garth on Wednesday afternoon (August 26) at 13:30, with crews attending the scene shortly afterwards.

They managed to put out the fire with two hose reels, an aerial ladder platform, and a high powered fan to clear the flat of smoke.

Four breathing apparatus were used by teams, while pumps from Killingbeck, Hunslet and Leeds attended.

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service has confirmed no injuries were reported at the scene of the fire.
