The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to flats in Crookston after residents reported concrete falling from a balcony.
Fire crews arrived at Cairnhill Circus after receiving a call at around 5.30pm this evening (Tuesday).
Glasgow City Council's Building Control team were subsequently called to the scene.
An eyewitness, relieved no-one was injured, branded the situation "scandalous" and an "absolute disgrace".
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "We did go out to Cairnhill Circus after a report of concrete falling from a balcony.
"We requested Glasgow City Council Building Control attended.
"They arrived and we left it in their hands."
