Fire crews called as man gets stuck in mud in Stapleford

A man had to be rescued by fire crews after becoming stranded in the mud in Stapleford.

The incident happened in Baulk Lane at around 10.23am on Monday, January 3.

Two fire crews were called to the scene, where the stranded man was led to safety via a gravel path.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "Stapleford Fire Station and Highfield Fire Station assisted a member of the public who was stranded in mud.

"Crews escorted one male to safety by leading them to a gravel path. The incident was located off Baulk Lane."
