Fire crews are currently battling a blaze at a high school in the south west of Edinburgh.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to Wester Hailes Education Centre on Murrayburn Drive at around 8pm this evening (13 March).
Firefighters located "a fire in a cupboard" and are working to extinguish the flames, with reports of "several" fire engines dispatched to the scene.
It is understood that no one has been injured in the blaze.
According to reports on social media, eye witnesses can see smoke billowing from the school.
One resident shared a clip of the fire shortly before 9pm tonight, while another local commented that it "looked bad".
Councillor for Drum Brae and the Gyle Mark Brown said: "Significant fire well underway at Wester Hailes Education Centre this evening.
"Emergency services currently in attendance dealing with the blaze including several fire fighting appliances."
Another wrote on Twitter: "Fire at the Wester Hailes Education Centre tonight - lots of black smoke!"
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.04pm on Friday, March 13 to reports of a fire within a school in the Wester Hailes area of Edinburgh.
“Operations Control mobilised seven appliances to Wester Hailes Education Centre on Murrayburn Drive, where firefighters were met by a fire within a cupboard.
“Crews remain on the scene working to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
“There are no casualties.”
