Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a waste management site in Salford.
Around 250 cubic metres of household waste caught fire at Bryn's Skip Hire, in Highfield Industrial Estate, Little Hulton.
Crews from around Greater Manchester were alerted to the fire at around 8.15pm, last night (April 28) and worked through the night to get the fire under control.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Kevin Wright, watch manager at Farnworth Community Fire Station said: "It's not a big site but the fire was deep-seated so there was quite a lot of smoke.
"It is believed it was started deliberately by persons unknown.
"There was no one injured".
There was still a crew in attendance at 9am today.
Manchester Evening News approached a spokesman for Bryn's Skip Hire, but he did not wish to comment.
