Fire crews battle major blaze in MacDuff in Aberdeenshire

Firefighter are tackling a large fire in MacDuff in Aberdeenshire.

Seven fire engines are currently working to contain the fire which broke out at a disused building on Commercial Street.

Images from the scene show large flames and plumes of black smoke coming from the property.

Fire crews rushed to deal with the blaze which was reported at 2.40 this afternoon.

A spokeswoman from Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "We were alerted at 2.40 on Sunday, 22 March to reports of a fire on Commercial Street in MacDuff."

"Seven fire appliances are in attendance and there are no reported causalities."
