A major fire has broken out at the Churchfield industrial estate in Cork city.

The blaze resulted in a sizable cloud of smoke that's visible from most areas in the city.

Units from Anglesea St, Ballyvolane, and a water tanker were brought in as firefighters worked to put out the blaze.

In one video, officers could be seen using an angle grinder to gain access to the site.

Emergency services are currently at the scene, with fire crews from Anglesea Street and Ballyvolane attending.

Cork City Fire Brigade has urged people to avoid the area, as well as those near the facility to keep their windows and doors closed.
