Fire breaks out in kitchen with ambulance service called

A kitchen fire broke out at property, triggering a call-out for the fire and ambulance service.

Crews from Temple Fire Station and Southmead Fire Station were in attendance at the fire in Jamaica Street in Kingsdown, which occurred at yesterday afternoon at 3.38pm.

The cause was believed to be accidental.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service Control took to social media to report the incident.

A spokesperson said: "@AFRSTemple @AFRSSouthmead are in attendance at a kitchen fire in the Kingsdown area The Fire is being extinguished by 2 hose reels 4 Firefighters in breathing apparatus #StaySafe #StayAlert #COVID__19 #InThisTogether."

Later, they added: "Crews from Temple and Southmead were called to reports of a property fire at 15:38 on Jamaica Street, Kingsdown.

"On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the first floor kitchen.

"Crews used four breathing apparatus for safety and two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.

"Ambulance crews were also in attendance.

"The cause is thought to be accidental."
