A fire broke out in an apartment block in Belconnen on Thursday at about 3.15pm.
Seven firefighting trucks responded to a fire on the 22nd-floor balcony of the Cirrus building on Emu Bank Drive.
"Firefighters responded to the incident, which could be seen from some kilometres away," the ACT Emergency Services Agency said in a statement.
"Crews quickly extinguished the fire resulting in no further spread throughout the building and minimal damage sustained."
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
