A large fire at a Kosher supermarket in Golders Green, north London is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
Around 100 firefighters and 15 engines have been called to the fire at Kosher Kingdom, with no injuries reported.
The brigade said it received the first of 56 calls at 6.47am on Wednesday and had sent crews from Finchley, Willesden, West Hampstead and surrounding fire stations to the scene – including a 32-metre turntable ladder.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said that officers are at the scene helping with road closures and evacuations.
In a statement, the brigade said: “The fire has occurred by a building which is three storeys, with a shop on the ground floor and premises above.
“The fire is producing a significant amount of smoke and we’re advising people in the area to keep their windows and doors shut at this time.”
A number of road closures are currently in place, including on Golders Green Road near the junction with Beverley Gardens.
People have been encouraged to avoid the area while heavy disruption has also been reported on the A406 North Circular road.

Around 100 firefighters have been tackling a large fire at a Jewish supermarket in Golders Green, north London.
The blaze appears to have started behind Kosher Kingdom at around 6.47am on Golders Green Road, with the London Fire Brigade (LFB) receiving 59 calls from the public.

Fire commissioner acknowledges concern caused by the incident

Speaking at the scene, assistant commissioner Craig Carter said: “The fire has been producing a significant amount of smoke, and we continue to advise people in the area to keep their windows and doors shut at this time, whilst firefighters work to fully extinguish the fire.”
Mr Carter added: “I know that this fire will have caused concern both for those in Golders Green and the wider community, and our community engagement team are here this morning providing support and reassurance to displaced residents and those who live and work nearby.

Eyewitnesses have said that they had “never seen anything to that scale” after the blaze broke out.
Stevie, who lives opposite the site of the fire, told BBC London she could smell "really, really intense smoke".
She said: "I couldn't see anything - it was just pure smoke. It's really sad."
Cameron said the view from their window was "like looking at a sheet of paper".
He added: "I genuinely thought I couldn't see anything at all. We shut the window and the smoke dissipated.
"We looked across the road and it was just billowing out of the top of the building. I've never seen anything to that scale."
Met Police confirm fire is not being treated as suspicious

The Metropolitan Police said that there was damage to the property but no injuries were reported.
The force said: “We understand the concern and disruption this incident will have caused to the local community and those living and working in the area.
“We would like to reassure residents that there is no indication of any targeted or deliberate act.
“Officers remain in the area to provide reassurance and will continue to work in partnership with the LFB and local authority. Anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to local officers.

They said: “At around 7am on Wednesday 27 May, police were called by the London Fire Brigade who were responding to a fire in Golders Green Road, Barnet.

Golders Green at the centre of a string of recent antisemitic attacks

The north London neighbourhood of Golders Green has been at the centre of a string of antisemitic hate crimes in recent months.
On 29 April, two men wearing Orthodox Jewish clothing were stabbed in an alleged terror attack and were taken to hospital, with the suspect facing trial next year.
In March, four ambulances belonging to the Hatzola Jewish charity were set alight, while there have also been firebomb attacks against synagogues and Jewish community centres.
A Jewish man suffered injuries to his face and back after he was allegedly assaulted in GoldersGreen last week.
The 22-year-old was attacked by five masked men at 2am on Monday after he stepped outside his apartment to make a phone call and was heard speaking Hebrew, the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) said.
