Fire breaks out at Bosco Pizzeria on Whiteladies Road

Firefighters were called to a fire at a Bristol restaurant today (July 28).

The blaze broke out at Bosco Pizzeria restaurant shortly after 1am.

One eyewitness saw three fire engines outside the restaurant and said smoke was coming out of the restaurant.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue confirmed they were called to a fire at the restaurant and the cause is not thought to be deliberate.

The spokesperson said: "At 01:16, crews from Temple, Southmead and Avonmouth fire stations were mobilised to reports of a fire on Whiteladies Road.

"On arrival, crews found a fire in a commercial property.

"Crews used four breathing apparatus for safety and two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.

"The cause is thought to be accidental."
