Fire at housing estate in East Belfast as emergency services race to scene

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a fire in East Belfast tonight.

Police, fire and ambulance crews rushed to the housing estate in Clarawood Park at around 7.30pm on December 28.

It is unclear at this stage if anyone has been seriously hurt in the fire at the residential property.

The street remains closed off to traffic.

An eyewitness told Belfast Live: "We heard the fire crews racing through the street before the police turned up.

"We have no idea what is going on, this is usually a quiet area."

A Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue spokesman confirmed they were in attendance but refused to give further detail at this time.
