A man police want to speak to about setting off a flare in Newcastle Central Station (BTP)

A man is reported to have lit the flare then walked out the station. Smoke from the flare set off the station fire alarms.

Once outside, he threw the flare then left the area. Officers would like to speak to the man in the image who is shown grinning as he carries the smoking flare around.

Anyone who knows him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 1900076433.

Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
