VARANASI: An FIR was lodged with Cantt police on Thursday against an unknown person for issuing threat to civil judge (senior division), Ravi Kumar Diwakar, who had ordered the survey of Gyanvapi premises by a court-appointed commission.
The civil judge had received the threat letter through a registered post from 'Islamic Agaz Movement' on June 7.
On the complaint of the civil judge's orderly Rajesh Kumar Sonkar, the police lodged an FIR under sections 153A (promoting disharmony, enmity) and 153B (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national-integration) of IPC.
