Fiorentina could sell Dusan Vlahovic 'tomorrow' as Juventus eye transfer for Arsenal outcast

Arsenal have no time to waste in the transfer market after seeing the depth of their squad take a further hit during the goalless draw with Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.

Granit Xhaka's red card was accompanied by knocks for Cedric Soares and Eddie Nketiah, leaving Mikel Arteta's squad down to the bare bones.

As a result, the Gunners are looking to push through deals ahead of Sunday's north London derby with Tottenham with a number of pieces of business on the cards.

Top of the agenda is Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic and Arsenal have received further encouragement, with Sport Witness citing reports that state the Italian side would approve a sale tomorrow.

That's down to the fact that the Serbian forward has 18 months remaining on his contract and has no desire to pen a renewal, raising concerns that he will run down his deal.

However, Arsenal will still have to convince the player himself of a move as it's claimed he's eyeing a transfer at the end of the season or in 2023 when his deal expires.

Elsewhere, Juventus are eyeing a move for Arsenal outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following an injury to Federico Chiesa, according to Tuttomercatoweb via the Sun.

The veteran is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations but is surplus to requirements in north London, having been stripped of the captaincy.

Finally, Arsenal continue to push ahead with a deal to sign Arthur Melo from Juventus and the Evening Standard states the Gunners are prepared to pay his wages in full.

Arthur is widely reported to be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium this month but Juventus would prefer an outright sale.
