Fiona Shaw has been announced to join Jodie Foster in an all-star cast for the new season of True Detective.
HBO is rounding out the cast for True Detective: Night Country with Deadwood’s John Hawkes, Doctor Who actor Christopher Eccleston , Finn Bennett (Domina) and Anna Lambe (Three Pines).
Season four of the anthology series will see the stars take on lead roles alongside Oscar winner Jodie Foster and world champion boxer-turned-actor Kali Reis.

From writer-director-showrunner Issa López, True Detective: Night Country, takes place during a long winter in Ennis, Alaska, when six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace.
Killing Eve and Harry Potter star Shaw, from Co. Cork will play Rose Aguineau, ‘a survivalist with a past full of secrets’, according to US entertainment publication, Deadline.
Meanwhile, Foster and Reis will play detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro, who ‘will have to confront a darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunting truths that lie buried under the eternal ice’.
López and Foster both serve as executive producers alongside Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak through Pastel and Mari Jo Winkler.
Anonymous Content, Chris Mundy, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Cary Joji Fukunaga and Nic Pizzolatto are also listed to executive produce on the project.
