The man accused of carrying on the Finsbury Park terror attack has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder.
Darren Osborne is accused of deliberately driving a van into a crowd of Muslim worshippers leaving Ramadan prayers near the Muslim Welfare House in London.
He is charged with murdering one man, 51-year-old Makram Ali, and attempting to kill other “persons at the junction of Seven Sisters Road and Whadcoat Street, London” on 19 June.
The 48-year-old of Glyn Rhosyn in Cardiff, he appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from Belmarsh prison on Thursday.
Wearing a red T-shirt, he spoke only to confirm his identity and enter not guilty pleas.
Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb remanded him on custody until the start of his trial, which is scheduled for 22 January at Woolwich Crown Court.
The incident was one of five terror attacks to hit the UK this year, following the Isis-linked atrocities in Westminster, Manchester and London Bridge.
