Finsbury Park stabbing: Two taken to hospital after knife attack in park

Two people have been taken to hospital after a stabbing at a park in north London.

Officers were called at 2.40pm to reports that a group of men were intoxicated and fighting in Finsbury Park.

"Officers attended and found one man with apparent stab wounds," a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said.

"The London Ambulance Service attended and the man has been taken to hospital, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening."

The LAS said paramedics were called to reports of "a stabbing and assaults" in the park.

"We dispatched three ambulance crews and an incident response officer," a spokeswoman told the Standard.

"We treated three people at the scene and took two to a major trauma centre."

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

A crime scene is in place.
