Finnish parliament approves healthcare reform

The Finnish parliament approved on Wednesday a government proposal for legislation to reform Finland's social and healthcare system, according to a tally of votes.

The decision marks a significant step towards reform which the government says will both curb public spending and reduce Finland's health and welfare disparities.
