Finglas rapper DALY hoping 'everything will be okay' in talent final

Finglas rapper DALY has been won the chance to represent Leinster at the final of Four Star Pizza's Star Nation competition next weekend.

The north Dublin artist, real name Aaron Daly, will do battle with the winners of the three other provincial competitions - Riley Holland (Ulster), Turnstiles (Connacht) and Clara Belle (Munster) – at Whelan’s on Sunday 29th September.

DALY’s fellow Dublin rap act, the hotly tipped Jafaris, will be the special guests on the night.

Aaron’s winning track is called Everything Will Be OK.

“It’s about making the decision between hard work and distractions, between quick money or alcohol, or whatever else, and working hard and having faith that it will pay off for you,” he says.

The socially conscious rapper is donating all proceeds from the track to Pieta House, while profits from new single Eliminate will go to suicide prevention charity Skate Against Suicide.

As one of the provincial winners, Aaron has already won a one-day recording session at Windmill Lane recording studio in Ringsend.

The overall winner on the night will also pick up a cheque for €3,000 worth of musical gear from MusicMaker.
