An 85-year-old was pictured running his "70th odd" marathon 36 years on from being snapped doing it in 1983.
Incredible photos show Finglas native Cyril Chaney completing Sunday's 40th Dublin Marathon, while another shows him doing the same in 1983.
Now an old folk himself, Chaney can be seen in the old pic donning a shirt sponsored by 'Finglas Old Folks' as he's being cheered through the village by fans.

Sunday's 26.2 mile run wasn't enough for Cyril either, and while most were nursing their wounds he was out on the golf course.
His son David said he hit the course at 10am the next morning and that he's not a big fan of the spotlight describing the centre of attention as his "least favourite location".

He also said it was the veteran's "70th odd" marathon and he's shown no signs of slowing down.
