Finglas driver with no tax or insurance tests positive for cannabis and cocaine

A north Dublin driver landed themselves in hot water yesterday after being stopped for having no tax or insurance and then testing positive for a cocktail of drugs.

The dozy motorist was stopped on suspicion of drug driving by Finglas gardai yesterday.

The diver tested positive for cocaine and cannabis and was also found to have no tax or insurance.

Gardai seized the car and posted a warning on social media yesterday, saying "never drive under the influence".

They said: "Finglas Gardaí stopped the driver of this car y/day, driver arrested on suspicion of Drug Driving also had No Insurance/ Tax. Car seized. Never drive under the influence."
