Fingal to face water outage due to major issues in pumps

Residents of Fingal have been warned as the area will be without water for most of the day.

Locals will not receive any water until 6pm today due to a major fault in the pumps supplying water to the Ballycoolen Tower.

This has resulted in knock on effects to the Ward and Cottrelstown reservoirs and water supply to Garristown, according to a spokesperson for Fingal County Council.

Areas affected are West Fingal Dublin 15 to Garristown including:

• Blanchardstown (mainly north of N3),

• Dubber Cross,

• Mulhuddart,

• St. Margarets,

Fingal water outage (Fingal County Council)

• The Ward,

• Kilsallaghan,

• Garristown,

• And surrounding areas.

The spokesperson added: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this disruption.

"Irish Water is aware of the outage.”
