A 32-year-old man who caused chaos in a Dumfries pub has been fined more than £900.
Luke Burcham admitted being sick into a bucket at the Hole in the Wa’ then tipping the contents onto a table before swinging punches at other drinkers and headbutting a man during the bust-up.
The fracas erupted at the High Street bar on August 8 last year and ended with Burcham, of Twiname Way, Heathhall, appearing at Dumfries Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He admitted vomiting into the bucket then pouring it on a table, acting in an aggressive manner by throwing punches at members of the public in the bar then headbutting a man.
Burcham pleaded not guilty to another charge of possessing class A drug cocaine at Irish Street on the same day and the denial was accepted by the Prosecutor.
He admitted previous convictions and the court fined him £300 for the incident with the bucket and trying to punch customers.
Burcham was fined £375 for headbutting the man and also ordered to pay the victim £200 compensation.
The court imposed a victim surcharge of £40 which brought the total financial penalty to £915.
He will pay the penalties at £250 per month starting on August 13.
Burcham was told that his sentences had been discounted for his guilty pleas, otherwise he would have landed a £400 fine for tipping the bucket of vomit and hurling punches then a further penalty of £400 for the assault charge of attacking the man by headbutting him.
