Today a freshly-unemployed George W Bush begins his search for a new post. He's far from alone. Figures published today show the number of Britons out of work is close to 2 million while in the US the unemployment rate has passed 7%.
Competition for jobs is huge, and with, on average, 50 people competing for every vacancy in London, we thought it time to ask what separates the successful jobhunters from the unsuccessfuls. What distinguishes those who land a job right away and those who struggle through the process of finding one for months, maybe years?
