If "liliputers" are becoming more widespread and more useful, which is the most Linux-friendly printer manufacturer?

Most "liliputers" (mini-books or netbooks or subnotebooks) are sold with either Windows XP or Linux. For the Linux ones, the Linux Foundation suggests Epson or Hewlett-Packard models, but says: "The recommendations do not necessarily mean that these printers will be automatically recognised and configured by your distribution, merely that the printer can be made to work well with Free Software."
