Popular fitness app Runna has just launched a new desktop tool, Races by Runna, to help you find your next race.
Runna is popular among runners, thanks to AI-generated and adaptive fitness plans, and now the same company can help you plan for the next big event.
Already active in London, among other locations around the world with more on the way, Races by Runna allows you to search for races near you.
You can also add certain criteria, like race length, specific elevation levels, climates, night runs, and even dog-friendly events.
Once a race is selected, those with a Runna account will be able to immediately create a personalised training plan to prepare for it within the app.
For example, after entering a marathon in six months’ time (or if you made it into the London Marathon 2026), you can enter your goal time into the app and it will create a step-by-step plan for how to reach it.
This new tool development is the first new feature to launch since fitness app giant Strava acquired Runna earlier this year.
“Runna exists to make running more accessible, effective and enjoyable for everyone,” said Runna CEO Dom Maskell. “We’ve solved how to get into running and how to train for a race, but the problem we heard time and again from our community was how to find the right race - be it reaching their next milestone, finding a B race or going for their next PB.
“We realised that we were well-positioned to build the world’s most comprehensive race discovery platform and it’s been a true labour of love from our team. Having Strava alongside us will help further strengthen our credibility in this field.”
The platform is now available in public beta, with races already available in London. Further expansions are planned to reach those in 'multiple' countries.
