A handy new postcode checker has been launched by the government to help you find local restaurants and pubs taking part in Eat Out to Help Out.
Diners will receive a 50 per cent discount, up to a maximum of £10 per head, in the month of August under the scheme.
Popular chains such as McDonald's, Nando's, Wetherspoons and KFC are all taking part and slashing the price of their meals.
Now this postcode tool lets you to check which local eateries are taking part.
The discount aims to help boost the hospitality industry as lockdown restrictions are relaxed.
Restaurants who sign up will automatically deduct it from your food bill (non-alcoholic drinks are also included) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only - so you don’t need a voucher with you to take part.
You can only get a maximum of £10 off per diner but there is no limit to how many times you can make use of the offer throughout August.
Restaurants are constantly being added to the list. Due to coronavirus restrictions, many places are taking bookings in advance.
To find places near you offering the discount, simply enter your postcode and the webpage will bring up nearby businesses.
There is also a new app - separate to the government postcode checker - to see what Eat Out to Help Out restaurants, pubs and cafes are near you.
