Grand ideas, however big or small, require more than just inspiration, dynamism and creativity in order to reach fruition — they also require a healthy injection of cash.
But attracting financial backing for ideas can be a challenge, especially for those which are particularly pioneering. Fortunately, Courvoisier supports such groundbreaking ideas and has set up a tailormade fund from which The Future 500 members can apply for funding: the Future Bank.
Designed to support participation within the Courvoisier The Future 500 network, the Future Bank offers funding to help applicants realise an idea in collaboration with other network members. Each month £1,000 of funding is available to applicants who exhibit innovation, member collaboration, experimentation, ethical awareness and joie de vivre.
Throughout its first few months the Future Bank has provided funding for a multitude of different projects. The first collaboration to benefit was between Ian Sanders and William Berry. Ian came up with the idea of creating a series of short films focusing on rising stars from across the network, offering informative and inspirational insights into their personal journeys. Working with William's film production business, Film 121, Ian interviewed several network members at the Cumberland hotel and the films will appear on YouTube once the editing process is completed.
The Future Bank also provided funding for Zoe Stanton and Andres Roberts' participation in the inaugral World Social Marketing conference in Brighton in September, where they presented their work and invited delegates to exchange ideas, observations and suggestions.
With £1,000 on offer every month, the Future Bank is sure to produce numerous exciting and inspiring collaborations in the future. Watch this space.
