Financial expert has transfer warning for Man United and Spurs over Real Madrid's spending spree

Real Madrid have been busy in the summer transfer window already.

Los Blancos have signed five players already in the form of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, and Rodrygo Goes.

That has seen Madrid's spending spiral to $340M - around £266million.

And they are probably not finished there either.

Real are reportedly looking at Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, while links with Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen have not died down.

And financial expert Bobby McMahon, from Sports Money, had a warning for United and Spurs over Real Madrid's spending and how it could continue.

Suggestions are that manager Zinedine Zidane wants to complete a deal for Pogba, ahead of Eriksen, but there are still reports that the Spanish giants would like to sign both.

According to McMahon, who was writing on behalf of Forbes , Real Madrid's spending is already the third highest by any team in a season. Manchester City spent $355M in 2017/18 while Barcelona spent a record $378M, in the same season.

And Real have done all this, despite the fact that the La Liga transfer window has not even opened yet.

Spanish clubs cannot register players until July 1, which is scary considering they have already brought in five players.

If they have spent all that money in the time before they're allowed to register players, what will happen for Spurs and United when they can do so?
