Finance software firm Xledger relocates to newly renovated Bristol city centre office

Cloud-based finance software company Xledger has signed a lease on 11,000 sq ft of newly renovated office space in Bristol city centre.

The relocation to Tower Wharf follows a record first-half year for Xledger, which said it was looking to build a hybrid approach to flexible working and create a “destination hub” for its people.

The company is undergoing a “significant period” of expansion, it said, and is aiming to be a £15million organisation in five years within the UK and £100million globally.

According to chief executive Mark Pullen, who joined the business last year, Xledger is planning to grow its team to more than 50 people within the next 12 months.

He said: “We fully recognise the need for flexible working, and at the same time understand it’s the people and how they work with one another that makes an organisation special.

"This is why we’re creating this ‘destination hub’ – a place that, when our employees come in to work, it’s a real privilege to be a part of.”

The new office includes break-out areas for working, according to the company, as well as entertainment spaces including a bar and roof terrace.

Mr Pullen added: “Investing in new premises in the current climate is a true demonstration of our confidence in the market. We are committed to growing our business in Bristol and we are excited about what we hope to achieve in the coming months.”

Xledger was recently accredited as a 'Great Place to Work-Certified Organisation' by Great Place to work - a UK consultancy that helps companies develop workplace culture and improve employee experience.

It also scooped the runner-up prize in the Great Place to Work: UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech category for small organisations.

Ian Halliwell, sales and marketing director at Xledger, added: “Our culture is one of collaboration, trust, enthusiasm and fun. We’re a company rife with opportunity.

“We’re creating a business that’s non-hierarchical and this approach means we can be agile and scale quickly. To borrow an analogy from Bristol Bears’ Pat Lam; it’s about getting everybody on the right bus, going to the same destination, all in the right seat.”
